Revealed: Milan tried to get Aubameyang up until August 31st
Milan had a very busy transfer window this past summer as they acquired 11 new players (Donnarumma, Conti, Bonucci, Musacchio, Rodriguez, Kessie, Biglia, Calhanoglu, Borini, Kalinic, André SIlva) but it seems like they would've liked to get Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as well. According to Italian site Repubblica (via Milanlive), Milan tried to get the Gabon international as he was very high on sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli's list. It seems like they tried up until the very end to get him as the Italian site talked about a special trip to Germany. Mirabelli and Alessandro Moggi had seemingly travelled to Germany towards the end of August to try and close a deal for him but in the end, nothing happened...
Milan will be taking on Roma tomorrow as this will be a very important game for Vincenzo Montella's future at the club. Let's not forget that Milan lost two games so far this season (against Lazio and recently against Sampdoria) as Fassone and Mirabelli haven't been very impressed with the team...
