Rizzoli explains why Benatia wasn't sent off in AC Milan-Juventus

A very discussed episode in Italy. Many suggest Mehdi Benatia should have received a second yellow card in Juventus' match against AC Milan at the San Siro a week ago. Now, former Serie A referee and current designator of the league clarified why the Moroccan was not sent off.

"It could have been a red card if the referee was sure that Higuain was in control of the ball. If instead it is considered as an opponent's advance, instead of ball control, it can only be punished with a penalty, as it was," he said.
