Roma boss Spalletti: 'I'm in peace with my players'

After the game won against his former team Udinese, AS Roma head coach Luciano Spalletti told Premium Sport: “My players have done extremely well, it wasn’t easy after being eliminated from the Champions League, we were in a difficult situation from a psychological point of view. Psychology is extremely important in today’s football: we are the chosen, and we must be aware of our job. We have to evaluate deeply all the situations, we have to focus on what we do, we have to realize that we something better than other things”

“Today I’m in peace with my players, I won’t criticize them” the Tuscan tactician added “we have to keep the teams who are following us behind, and we can do it only if we keep on winning. Has this game proved that Dzeko is not a problem? Absolutely not. All the players are important. If you win so many games on a row, it means that the team is working well, that it stands united. Did I expect Roma to do so well? I was curious to understand from the inside, as from outside the team seemed to have a lot of quality. We just needed to change a bit the way to live the club; the boys have done it with responsibility and they deserve such satisfactions”.
