Roma, EDF ‘happy’ for Nainggolan Belgium snub

Roma manager Eusebio Di Francesco talked to media on Saturday afternoon, on the eve of the crucial San Siro clash against AC Milan.

“I am happy with how the team is developing. We want to understand who we are and what we can achieve and we are aware that there could be some injuries during our path. We have lot of responsibilities, we want to prove we are among the top clubs in Italy.”

“Montella is like a father for me, we had a great relationship when we were footballers and we are still on very good terms. I have lot of friends in football and Vincenzo is one of them. He is very good when it comes to give his teams an attractive style of football.”

Di Francesco commented the decision of Belgium boss Roberto Martinez who decided not to give a call-up to Radja Nainggolan.

“He is one of the best players in Europe and every manager must take his decisions. I am sorry for the player but I think he can give something more for Roma. I hold him tight.”
