Roma fine star striker after Man Utd, Barcelona claims

Roma star striker Patrik Schick made headlines yesterday when he released an interview claiming that he hopes he will join a bigger club in the future. “I hope to be able to transfer in a few years to an even better club, where I will be paid even better,” said the forward to his native Czech magazine Reporter. “There are a few clubs, such as Real Madrid, Barcelona or Manchester United.”

Of course, the club’s executives did not take Schick’s words very well, especially because the Czech Republic International is still injured and has yet to make his first appearance with the club.

Roma’s director of sport Monchi flew to Boston yesterday to meet the club’s president James Pallotta. The duo decided to fine Schick for his interview and the player has already been informed about it, Sportmediaset claims. Eusebio Di Franceso will also talk to the player in the coming hours.

Meantime Shick has tried to ease the pressure with an Instagram post: “I am proud to be here and I’ve never thought to leave. I will do my best to return to action as soon as possible. I only want one thing: do the best for Roma, forza Roma!”
