Roma-Real Madrid: Italian papers slam Roma duo and praise Bale leadership

Roma and Real Madrid have qualified for the last 16 stage of the Champions League but the achievement doesn’t put an end to the crisis of the Giallorossi who lost 2-0 at the Olimpico yesterday night. The next home clash against Inter could be decisive for Eusebio Di Francesco to save his job.

Goals of Real Madrid came courtesy of Gareth Bale and Lucas Vazquez. The former Tottenham man is praised by Italian papers this morning.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the Welshman is the leader of Real Madrid in a tough moment of the season.

Before yesterday, in fact, the Merengues had lost 3-0 against Eibar. At the Olimpico the Merengues were given a helping hand by Di Francesco’s side.

Federico Fazio accidentally assisted Bale for the opener in the second half a few minutes before Cengiz Under had incredibly missed Roma’s possible 1-0.

The two Roma stars are the most criticized by media this morning.
