Roma striker returns to full training after injuries

It’s no secret that AS Roma has been hammered by an inordinate number of injuries over the last three years, including 10 ACL tears in the last 18 months. On Friday, however, they finally got some good news in their injury report.

Prized forward Patrik Schick made his return to the training field with the rest of the team for the first time in what feels like months. The young Czech national has caught the ire of Romanisti after his very expensive, and highly complex transfer from Sampdoria this past summer.

Due to various ailments, he has only managed to play 15 minutes in one match, before complaining about recurring leg pain. Additionally, he earned a fine from the club when, in an interview, he expressed his desire to leave Roma for “a bigger club.”

Despite his concerning start to life in the Eternal City, if Schick can prove to be a competent forward, be it on the right or in center, he’ll have the opportunity to win Roma fans back.
