Roma taught Chelsea and Conte a hard lesson
The giallorossi are clearly being praised by Italian papers out this morning. According to Tuttosport, Roma boss Di Francesco taught is Chelsea counterpart Conte a hard lesson yesterday night.
The Italian paper claims the Blues had only tried to win the game waiting for Eden Hazard to do something, whilst the likes of Alvaro Morata, Marcos Alonso, Pedro and Fabregas put down one of the worse performances of the season.
Italian media hails at Roma’s ‘tactical lesson’ and slams a few former Serie A stars: both Antonio Rudiger and Alvaro Morata were disappointing yesterday night. The Spaniard was perfectly marked by former Spurs star Fazio whilst the German did not manage to do the same with Rome’s strikers.
The two managers did the rest with Di Francesco who managed to have a compact and solid Roma, whilst Conte who did even had a couple of substitutions wrong.
Worse night ever for the Premier League Champions, Roma can now dream of winning their group stage. Chelsea and Conte must learn the hard lesson if they want to get back in track in Europe but also in England.
