Rummenigge reveals what Ancelotti told him after sacking

Bayern Munich chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has revealed in a recent interview what Carlo Ancelotti told him after he was axed as the Bayern Munich boss some weeks ago.

It was after the embarassing 3-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League that the former Chelsea and PSG was sacked by the Bayern Munich board, who later roped in Jupp Heynckes as the new boss.

Rummenigge was talking to Sky Deutschland recently about Ancelotti sacking. He told: “After returning to Munich following the 3-0 defeat to PSG, we had a meeting with Ancelotti and the situation wasn’t a pleasant one.”

He continued: “At the end of the conversation, Ancelotti got up and told me: “You’re not my boss, but you are still my friend.” I think that is what he describes very well, to feel.”

After Ancelotti’s sacking, things have improved for the Bavarian outfit, who again have Heynckes on board. The club haven’t lost a single game since Heynckes took charge, with the 2-1 win over Celtic their recent triumph.
