Sampdoria chase Swiss mainstay Fabian Schär
Sampdoria look to be working hard on reinforcing their defence.
Following the arrival of Leandro Castan, the Blucerchiati are still looking for more players at the back, with the likes of Nicklas Moisander already gone and Matias Silvestre still uncertain of his future.
Sky Sport Italy report that Fabian Schär is the latest name on Sampdoria's list, and that the Doria have already contacted Hoffenheim (who own his rights) to discuss a transfer.
Schär was one of the maintstays of the Swiss defence at Euro 2016, and came to fame playing with FC Basel.
