Sampdoria criticise VAR on Twitter following Juve defeat

VAR was called into action three times in the game between Juventus and Sampdoria, which has sparked heated discussions on social media, since two of these decisions are deemed to be incorrect.

Sampdoria were quick to react to the matter on their Twitter page, criticising VAR for the decision rule out Saponara's goal, while bashing the referee for a cheap penalty given on Ferrari.

"With a debatable Ronaldo penalty and a little help from VAR, the game ends in a victory for the Bianconeri," the tweet read.
