Serie A: Milan-Roma |Team news and predicted lineups

Vincenzo Montella’s AC Milan will look to get back on track in the Serie A when they will host Eusebio Di Francesco’s Roma at the San Siro on Sunday evening. Last week's defeat in Genoa to Sampdoria at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris is likely to go down as the most embarrassing Rossoneri performance so far under Montella, as Milan didn't get a single shot on target throughout the game.

It was their second defeat of the season, after the 4-1 humbling at the hands of Lazio some weeks ago. Their recent outing in the Europa League was a bit of a struggle as well, as Milan needed a late Patrick Cutrone goal to beat Rijeka. As far as Roma go, the men from the capital city have lost just a single game this season and that came against their former boss Luciano Spalletti's new club Inter. They've won all the other games, with the recent league game yielding a 3-1 triumph over Udinese. They are currently fifth in the league, just a single point and a single position ahead of their Sunday's opponents.

The Rossoneri have let in eight goals in the league already and the defensive issues have been a cause of concern for Montella. On the other hand, Roma have let in half as many goal as Milan, conceding only four times in the Serie A. In the goal getting department, Roma also have had the edge over Milan. They've found the back of the net 12 times, two more than the men in red and black. Half of those goals have been scored by the in-form Edin Dzeko, who has six goals in the bag already and is the league's third highest goalscorer, tied with Mauro Icardi. Luca Antonelli, Andrea Conti, Riccardo Montolivo and Davide Calabria remain out, as Hakan Calhanoglu too could miss out due to contusion. As far as Roma are concerned, they will be without Gregoire Defrel, Patrik Schick and Diego Perroti.

Predicted lineups: AC Milan: Donnarumma, Bonucci, Romagnoli, Musacchio; Abate, Locatelli, Bonaventura, Biglia, Rodriguez; Cutrone, Kalinic

Roma : Alisson; Florenzi, Manolas, Fazio, Kolarov; Pellegrini, De Rossi, Nainggolan; Under, Dzeko, El Sharaawy.
