The Old Lady played the first Serie A Sunday game trashing Chievo Verona 4-0 at the Bentegodi thanks to Alvaro Morata’s brace in the first half and goals netted by Alex Sandro and Paul Pogba in the second part of the game.
Napoli went down 1-0 at the San Paolo against Empoli, but goals from Lorenzo Insigne, Gonzalo Higuain, José Maria Callejon (twice) and an own goal by former Fiorentina hopeful Michele Camporese helped Napoli overcoming the Old Lady on top of the Serie A table.
Fiorentina were disappointing drawing 0-0 at the Marassi against Genoa. Same result for Torino-Verona and Udinese-Lazio.
