Serie B update: Finally some separation
For weeks Serie B has seen an oscillation between 10 and 11 points separating first place to last. Finally, in week 14, there appears to be deprecation. Now there are a whopping 12 points separating 1st and 22nd places.
New leader Palermo sits on 25 while Ascoli is now bringing up the rear with 13.
To highlight just how tight the race is, Pro Vercelli's upset of, then, second place Empoli moved them from last place to just five points from promotion.
Once again, the Italian second division proves to be the most exciting league in Europe.
