Sheva, Kakà, Thiago Silva: talking too much is not good for the fans

Another hot summer is ahead for the football market, and as happened in the last few year, AC Milan are still at the centre of everybody's attention. The great clubs are prepared to invest a lot of cash for the Italian club's stars. This happened for Shevchenko and  Kakà, now for Thiago Silva. The high taxation and the fact that the Italian footbal is unable to find a solution about the stadiums, make the Italian clubs in the position to consider good offers. They are therefore prepared to transfer the best players.  To change team is part of the rules of football. There are financial factors, motivational and personal matters. For this reason there are very few players who spend their entire career in the same club.

Therefore, Thiago Silva's declaration seemed a bit unrealistic. The fact that he hopes that the shirt no. 33 will be withdrawn (like Baresi's no. 6 or Maldini's no.3), is a bit too much, especially now that Milan and Barcelona are talking about his possible transfer.

To promise something that one cannot keep it's a lack of respect towards the fans.  Shevchenko and Kakà did it, Thiago Silva is doing it. Perhaps Ibrahimovic's behavious is much better; he's not talking about being the captain or about his shirt withdrawal...
