Simeone furious with Barcelona as they try to land Atletico star
Diego Simeone’s side can of course sell their players although they have been banned from signing new ones until January 2018.
​Barcelona faced a similar punishment a few years ago and Atletico Madrid did not make any move to try to tempt some of their players out of the Camp Nou.
​According to Don Balon, Simeone was more than disappointed when he found out that Barcelona had made contact with Saul, trying to seal his transfer.
Saul is one of Spain’s most promising midfielders and he is already tested at an International level. Simeone has managed to persuade Antoione Griezmann to stay at Atletico Madrid for one more season given that it would have been impossible for him to sign a replacement of the Frenchman. The Argentinean boss hopes he will convince Saul to snub a move to Barcelona and spend one more year in the Spanish capital.
