Spalletti: 'Florenzi is injured', 'Roma's midfield is fine... for the moment'

Coach Luciano Spalletti had a few interesting things to say as he spoke to assembled media about Roma's upcoming Serie A debut.

The Giallorossi will get the 2016-2017 season going tomorrow night, when they welcome Spalletti's former club, Udinese, whom he qualified to the Champions League back in the 2004-2005 season.

The Roma Coach had some bad news: Alessandro Florenzi's injury. Find out what he said below.

ON FLORENZI'S ABSENCE - “Torosidis is out, he hurt his right thigh. Florenzi is out, he's injured his right calf”.

ON THE SQUAD -  “We have Strootman and Paredes, and they're both better than Pjanic. We kept the stronger players. Gerson is also there from a technical perspective, he needs to get to grips with our football. With Peres' arrival, Florenzi can play further forward.

“We're good at the moment. We can improve everything and look for another midfielder, but we're fine at the moment”.

ON RIVALS UDINESE - “Udinese take small prodigies and let them play, they have so many in many roles. It'll be hard because they don't have Di Natale, they'll lose a lot through his absence”.
