Spurs legend tells £200m Man United target to stay

A Tottenham legend claims Harry Kane should stay in North London.

The England international is being chased by a number of teams, with Manchester United particularly interested.

Club icon David Ginola - who spent three years for the club after joining in 1997 for £2.5 million - told the Alan Brazil show that Kane was better off staying put.

“Harry Kane should stay at Spurs,” the Tottenham legend said this morning on Talksport.

“Spurs need Harry Kane to stay if they are to win the Premier League next season.

“That’s very important. Tottenham had a great season and finished runners-up last year.

“They need to keep their best assets if they want to win anything in the next few years, and Harry Kane, along with the likes of Dele Alli, is one of their best assets.”

Kane has scored a huge 38 goals in all competitions this season, but the latest reports indicate that even a £200 million offer wouldn’t be enough to make Spurs budge.

The North London club is preparing cover for the striker, with Daniel Levy interested in signing Mariano Diaz from Real Madrid.
