Stalling talks between Juve and Bayern for star winger could give Spurs transfer hope

Tottenham and Juventus are interested in signing Bayern Munich star Douglas Costa who is reported to be willing to leave the Allianz Stadium in the summer. The Brazilian winger wants to leave Germany and according to reports he has already agreed personal terms with Juventus.

Although the Serie A and Bundesliga champions are on very good terms, they have yet to agree the player’s price-tag.

According to German paper Kicker (via Gazzetta), Bayern Munich gave Juve green light to negotiate with their star winger a few weeks ago,  but they seem to have raised their price-tag now.

Italian and German media reported that Douglas Costa could have moved to Juventus for € 40 million but the German paper is now reporting that the Bundesliga giants want € 50 million to finalize the sale of Douglas Costa.

Talks between the two parties have been put on hold as Juventus are reportedly not open to match the player’s price-tag. If the Old Lady fails to reach an agreement for the Brazilian, Tottenham could get back in the race to sign the 26-year-old.
