Star duo tell Real Madrid they’ll leave if Cristiano Ronaldo is sold

Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave. The Portuguese star has already made it clear to Florentino Pérez that he does not intend to continue at Real Madrid next season. His departure could have consequences with some players already threatening to revolt should he be sold.

Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale have both let it be known that they would look to move elsewhere if indeed CR7 leaves the Spanish capital. The French striker is good friends with Ronaldo and, if he were to leave, this would leave the former Lyon hitman feeling isolated within the dressing room.

As for the Welshman, he is well aware of the fact Los Blancos are looking to move him on, while he has similar feelings to Cristiano: he believes he is being mistreated by the club, as they do not handle his injury problems well.

Pérez knows that the departure of Ronaldo would leave coach Zinedine Zidane short of attacking players, but is currently weighing up all his options.
