Star winger tells Roma he wants Liverpool move, negotiations ongoing

Liverpool are long time admirers of Roma star Mohammed Salah who has imposed himself as one of the best Serie A wingers over the last couple of seasons. The Egypt International reached double figures for both goals and assists during the 2016/17 campaign and according to several reports he has already agreed personal terms with Liverpool.

Trouble is, the Reds have yet to reach an economic agreement with Roma. The Serie A giants want to sell the player for € 40 million but the Premier League side have yet to offer as much.

Negotiations between the two parties are ongoing but according to Sky Italia (via forzaroma.info), the player has informed his club that he wants to move to Liverpool. Negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing and the Reds may have to rush to complete the signing of the Egyptian star given that the giallorossi will sell Antonio Rudiger to Inter in the next few days.

Roma need to cash in at least € 30 million by the end of the month in order to respect the Fifa Financial Fair Play. Given that Rudiger will cost Inter almost as much, the sale of another jewel of their crown won’t be mandatory anymore.
