Stars return to Inter line-up against desperate Tottenham

Inter and Tottenham meet at Wembley on Wednesday night in a decisive Champions League clash. A win would allow the Serie A giants to qualify for the next stage of the competition but a draw could also be useful for Luciano Spalletti’s side who enjoy a three-point lead on Spurs with just two games left in the group stage. Tottenham must win if they want to keep their qualification hopes alive.

The Italians won their last Serie A game against Frosinone with the goals came courtesy of the backup strikers Keita Baldé and Lautaro Martinez. Spurs sealed the three points against Chelsea thanks to the “usual” Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Son.

Inter are likely to use the same line-up of the first game against Tottenham, except from one player: D'Ambrosio,in fact, is expected to play in place of Miranda, with de Vrij and Skriniar that will start in the middle of the defense. Brozovic and Perisic will return to Inter XI after the bench against Frosinone, just like Icardi and Vecino who wrapped up Inter’s 2-1 win at the San Siro back in September.

Tottenham are expected to start with Moussa Sissoko in the middle of the park and Dele Alli in place of Lamela. The Argentinean started against Inter at the San Siro in the last game between the two clubs.

Juan Foyth is also expected to start in the middle of the defense to replace Davinson Sanchez. The likes of Hugo Lloris, Toby Alderweireld have recovered from their injuries and are ready to face the Nerazzurri with Spurs that can only win to continue to believe in the qualification for the last 16 stage.
