Top Barcelona target set to snub blaugrana to join Real Madrid

Ajax and Netherlands starlet Frenkie de Jong has reportedly said no to a possible move to Barcelona in the near future.

De Jong has been instrumental in guiding the Netherlands to the semi-finals of the UEFA Nations League, having topped a group consisting of Germany and the world champions France. 

Don Balon state that De Jong has specifically said no to a transfer to Barcelona, who have been really pushing for him since this past summer, along with also going after Matthijs de Ligt.

Because of that, Real Madrid are no leading the race to sign the midfielder and De Jong also seems to favor a move there. Los Blancos are keen on signing him and could shell out the demanded 70 million euros for him.

De Jong has appeared in ten Eredivisie games so far this season, scoring once.
