Tottenham closing in on potential Kyle Walker’s replacement

Tottenham are closing in on the signing of German promise Jeremy Toljan who can either player on the left or on the right and who could be used as a replacement for Kyle Walker who has just joined Manchester City in a € 56 million move.

According to Portuguese paper Record, the Premier League giants are closing in on the signing of the U21 Germany International who is currently contracted with Hoffenheim.

Jeremy Toljan has one year left in his contract with the Bundesliga giants and had been previously linked with moves to Serie A where both Tottenham and Napoli were said to be interested in signing him.

Benfica had also made an attempt to sign the highly rated 22-year-old although the Portuguese side are believed to have given up on his chase given that they can’t compete financially with the Premier League giants.

Toljan has 17 appearances and one goal with U21 Germany national team and won the European championship with that side last month.
