Spurs pounce on Juve, Liverpool & Barça target but is it too late?

Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined the race to sign Bayern Munich, Juventus and Barcelona target Leon Goretzka.

Goretzka, who also happens to be an Arsenal target, is set to become a subject of multiple bids and interest from a host of clubs and it seems as Mauricio Pochettino sees him as a player that he needs to bolster their title-charge.

It is said that Spurs have watched him during games multiple times and have, in fact, watched him during all of his games in the past month, suggestive of their interest in acquiring the German’s services.

Goretzka’s contract at Schalke expires at the end of the current season and the interested clubs are looking to sign him for free, with Barcelona and Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich said to be the 22-year-old’s preferred choices.

Goretzka, often dubbed to be the ‘Next Toni Kroos’, helped Germany win the Confederations Cup this past summer and a move to Tottenham could boost the Lilywhites’ hopes of winning the title next season.

The Spanish media have reported that Barcelona have already met the player's entourage four times and the German media are of the opinion that he Goretzka will go to Bayern Munich next summer.
