Totti: 'VAR should have been used, Fabbri was probably watching another game on screen'

Roma legend Francesco Totti has criticised the referee's decision to not give Roma a penalty, saying that the VAR referee was watching another game and it should have been a VAR call.

In what was an entertaining game, Roma came back from behind twice to grab a point against Inter. Inter did lead twice, one through Keita Balde and then through Mauro Icardi. But Roma scored through a Cengiz Under stunner and a Aleks Kolarov penalty to get a deserved point.

Totti was talking to the media after the game about the referee's decision to not give Roma a penalty in the 36th minute.

Totti said: "It was a game played openly, played by two teams who gave everything. It was an exciting game to watch.

"The foul? There is little to see, we have all seen it. There is nothing to explain, I wonder: how do VAR referees not see it? It's a shame. From the stadium we have all seen, what are those doing?

"Why do not you call them to give an explanation? We put them on purpose to do this. Rocchi got it wrong, he whistled but it is a different thing.

"The VAR referees ... I do not know who was there, but they are 4-5 in number. Was Fabbri there? He was seeing another game. So you can not go on, do all these meetings and we still see these episodes. It can happen to everyone, not just us."
