    Transfer news: Iker Muniain’s release clause revealed

    Iker Muniain is one of the hottest commodities of Athetic Bilbao the Basque winger has two assist and one goal in 13 appearances so far this season and according to reports from Spain and France he’s a transfer target of Marseille. The French side’s new director of sport Andoni Zubizarreta has set sights on both him and Atletico Madrid centre-back Diego Godin, though the Athetic Bilbao’s star is the most likely to join the Velodrome outfit in January.

    Today’s edition of  Mundo Deportivo reports that Muniain’s release clause is set to € 45 million and that LaLiga side are not open to negotiate a lower price-tag for the 23-year-old winger who is a product of UDC Chantrea’s academy.

    Munian’s release clause was increased last summer when the Spanish winger signed a new contract extension with the club. His previous minimum fee was € 37 million, but Muniain is now available for a little more than that.

    ​Muniain is not the only LaLiga player linked with a January move to Marseille as also Inter, AC Milan target Aleix Vidal is being monitored by Zubizarreta, still according to the same report of Mundo Deportivo.
