§          Roma-Milan: battle for Paulinho                                                                        Milan have a new contender for Brazilian starlet Paulinho. Roma have sent their scout Mario Miele to watch him closely.  During the game between Corinthians and Atletico Paranaense, Miele was able to report on Paulinho as well as Ralf and Leandro Castán. §          Juventus follow Damiao, Aogo & Pieters

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici is currently in Brazil following some of the most talented South American players. The Bianconeri are keeping an eye on Internacional ace Leandro Damiao. But it won’t be easy to take him to Turin considering that the Brazilian kid has several admirers. Among them, CSKA Moscow could make an important bid in the coming weeks if, as confirmed by the club’s director Roman Babaev, Vagner Love was to leave the Russian outfit. Meanwhile, Beppe Marotta is busy strengthening the Old Lady’s backline as requested by Antonio Conte. Giorgio Chiellini is unhappy playing as a left-back while Paolo De Ceglie is yet to prove himself in Bianconero. So Juventus could make a bid for Hamburg defender Dennis Aogo, but Marotta is unsure whether to spend 7M Euros on him and has sent out one of the club’s scout for the Germany-Holland match tomorrow. Juventus are also showing interest on Erik Pieters from PSV Eindhoven who is a year younger than Aogo but also more expensive.

Milan defender Thiago Silva claimed he has no intention of leaving the Rossoneri but he is attracting the interest of two top clubs. According to reports, Manchester City and Barcelona are both willing to make a hefty offer for the Brazilian who is tied to Milan until June 2016. Roberto Mancini though is planning to make an offer that neither Milan nor Thiago Silva can refuse.

    §          Montolivo off in January

The Riccardo Montolivo saga could end in January. The Italian international is tied to Fiorentina until June 2012 and has already refused to renew his contract with the Viola. It is believed that the Viola midfielder has already signed a pre-agreement with Milan for June, but the Rossoneri could make an effort to bring him to San Siro before the summer. “Let’s see what happens in January,” said Montolivo.

    §          Cavani happy in Napoli
Despite an average start to the season, Edison Cavani is still one of the hottest properties in Serie A but the Uruguayan striker claimed his future is tied to Napoli. Cavani is currently away with the Uruguay national team and will face Italy in a friendly game at the Olimpico tomorrow night and is relishing the chance to feature in such a fascinating encounter.

    §          OFFICIAL: Sampdoria hire Iachini

Beppe Iachini is the new Sampdoria boss as he replaces Gianluca Atzori on the Blucerchiati bench following their home defeat to Vicenza on Sunday afternoon. Iachini signed a one-year-and-a-half contract. Sampdoria saw Roberto Donadoni turning down their offer thus went for the man who previously managed Brescia and Chievo. The Blucerchiati are still aiming for promotion to Serie A this season and Iachini’s team will need to climb up the table as they currently sit in 7th position.
