Valencia reportedly refuse Juve's initial approach for 23 year old defender

Recent reports have continued to shed light on the right back position for Juventus, after losing Dani Alves. Thus far it seems Marotta and company have looked to La Liga for a possible replacement for the former Barca defender. It appears that the Old Lady has asked Valencia for a dry loan with no obligation to purchase for the Portuguese defender Joao Cancelo. The offer, however, was rejected because the Spanish club did not like this proposition and hopes to make a deal for their player that would include an outright sale.

With Real Madrid’s Danilo also on their radar, the Bianconeri will have to tread cautiously to find a capable defender without overspending. Some reports out of Spain have hinted that with a slightly higher offer, the Brazilian will be on his way to Turin, with only details to be ironed out. For Juventus, they will keep their options open for the best possible solution, which could include a move for Valencia’s 23 year old defender should the clubs come to an agreement.
