    Ventura names his first Italy team: Donnarumma, Romagnoli and Belotti get call-ups

    Giampiero Ventura has named his first Italy squad for the friendly game that the azzurri will play against France in Bari next Thursday and their first World Cup qualifier against Israel.

    Ventura has given Donnarumma his first ever national team call up. The promising AC Milan goalkeeper has gained a spot at expenses of former PSG goalie Salvatore Sirigu.

    Donnarumma becomes the youngest player to get Italy call-up in the last 105 years. Juventus’ Daniele Rugani and AC Milan’s Alessio Romagnoli have also gained a spot in the azzurri squad.

    Andrea Belotti and Manolo Gabbiadini have also got a call-up alongside Jack Bonaventura and Riccardo Montolivo. PSG ace Marco Verratti returns to the squad after skipping EURO 2016 with spots hernia.
