Ventura saw Italy improvement
Ventura’s side needed a win to become top seed in the playoff draw and they managed to take the three points home thanks to a goal of Antonio Candreva.
“A win was out objective, I think we did a small step forward tonight, we still need to improve in terms of ball possession and managing games, we will get there, the lads showed the right attitude tonight."
"They [Albania] created goal chances because we allowed them, they made the most of our mistakes. I am happy because I saw an improvement. The lads are working hard and tonight they proved they are totally committed. We have some limits right now because there are many injured, but the guys tried to do something different. I hope there will be less injured in the playoffs, I am happy for the guys."
