Waiting for Ilkay: Juventus chase two Serie A stars... and a Bundesliga midfielder!

Juventus are rebuilding with youth: after bringin in Rolando Mandragora from Genoa and having ensured that Stefano Sensi will join in the future by reaching an agreement with Sassuolo.

Though Ilkay Gundogan is still the club's main target, the Bianconeri will have to play a waiting game and will, in the meanwhile, focus on Riccardo Saponara, Sine Vrsaljko and Christoph Kramer.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, the Old Lady's transfer gurus, Beppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici, have been eyeing them for some time. We've written at length about Saponara, and Juventus are on excellent terms with the Empoli.

Though expensive, Sime Vrsaljko is turning out to be one of the best fullbacks in Serie A this season, and has apparently been in the Old Lady's crosshairs since his unsuccessful stint at Genoa. Even there, Simone Zaza, Domenico Berardi and Stefano Sensi are proof that Juventus have established a good rapport with Sassuolo.

Kramer is best known for winning the World Cup with Germany despite suffering a concussion during the final, but is a very interesting player, so interesting that Napoli have made a bid for him... which the German international shot down. The Corriere claims that Juventus will be making an offer next summer.
