‘Welcome home’: Atletico announce signing of Diego Costa
The Spaniard has had successful medical with the La Liga giants who have just announced his return at the club through an official statement on their official website.
Diego Costa joined Chelsea for € 38 million in summer 2014 and is set to make return to Atletico for € 66 million becoming the most expensive player in the history of the Colchoneros.
Costa scored 58 goals in 120 games with Chelsea and has 64 goals in 134 appearances with Atletico Madrid.

“I am really happy to be back home”, the striker told his new club’s website.
“Diego Costa is now an Atlético player. Atlético de Madrid and Chelsea agreed on the conditions for the transfer of the forward to our club. The international forward signed his new contract after successfully passing the medical tests that he underwent in two phases: last Saturday and Monday. Starting tomorrow, he will join the team’s trainings, but he will not be registered until the next winter market opens on January 1st”, Atletico announced through their official website.
