West Ham close to landing £24m ex-Inter attacker
The former Inter reject is set to join the Hammers for £24 million, and is set to undergo his medical soon. He is expected to be a part of the East London side’s pre-season tour of Germany, which will begin on Monday.
The 28-year-old has been a star performer since moving to Stoke from Werder Bremen for only € 2.8 million, and has gone on to score 22 Premier League goals.
He played 57 minutes of Serie A football in 2009/2010, the year the Nerazzurri won the Treble.
The Austrian international is expected to sign a five-year deal, and become the club’s highest-paid player.
The Hammers are beefing up their attack, with Chicharito Hernandez (another Bundesliga/ Premier League veteran) also set to join, this time from Bayer Leverkusen.
Arnautovic scored six Premier League goals last season.
