West Ham midfielder linked with Serie A return

The summer transfer window is about to begin with the incoming transfer campaign that will be full of exciting signings all over Europe. According to today’s edition of Il Corriere Fiorentino (via novantesimo.com) Fiorentina have resumed their interest in former Sampdoria star Pedro Obiang who is currently contracted with West Ham.

The Spaniard was also linked with a move to Fiorentina this past January but no offer was made by the Tuscans who, however, could see some of their best midfielders leave the Franchi in a few months.

Both Matias Vecino and Milan Badelj are rumoured to be close to leaving Fiorentina with the latter who is definitely going to leave the club, as his agent has repeatedly announced over the last few weeks.

Obiang has one goal and one assist in 30 appearances with West Ham so far this season and he is under contract with West Ham until 2019. The former Samp man joined the Hammers from Sampdoria for € 6 million in summer 2015.
