West Ham want exciting young England keeper to be their new number one

Reports in The Sun suggest that West Ham United are set to make a summer move for England Under-21 goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. The 22-year-old has had a great season with Sunderland despite the club’s relegation from the Premier League and has a number of admirers around the country.

The journal claims however, that Hammers boss Slaven Bilic is ready to offer cash plus Adrian to the Black Cats in exchange for Pickford in a deal that could be worth around £25M. Sunderland are understood to have valued their star keeper at £30M and want to hold out for the best price they can as they look to rebuild their current squad in English football’s second tier.

Premier League stats for last season showed that Pickford made the second most amount of saves after Burnley’s Tom Heaton and the player has been tipped to have a big future in the game.
