'What is wrong with you?': Italian paper questions Higuain after 7th goalless match
As Gazzetta dello Sport reports this morning, what worries most is not that much the goalless streak, but the fact that the player does not seem hungry. The chances have been there, as Higuain kicked 32 times in the last two matches against Olympiacos and Bologna, but was unsuccessful on every occasion. In recent days, Gattuso has also repeated that he expects more from Gonzalo not only in terms of goals but also in terms of leadership.
Yesterday at Dall'Ara, Higuain maintained his nerves as it was asked by his coach for almost the entire game: only in the final minutes, he had a shot of anger when the referee Maresca interrupted a counter attack for a foul in the midfield.
Higuain knows very well how much he needs to scores, as he said before yesterday's match: "I know that to get into the Champions League we need my goals and that I have to stay calm". In four days Milan will return to the field against Fiorentina at the San Siro and the Argentine hopes to finally bounce back and score.
