Why AC Milan's Andre Silva could leave the club in January

AC Milan's Portuguese international attacker André Silva could leave the club only 6 months after having signed for them when the transfer window reopens in January.

The player has found it difficult to feature regularly in the first team under Vincenzo Montella and although he is regularly called upon by Portugal national team coach Fernando Santos, the former Porto player knows that if he fails to secure more minutes he is in serious risk of losing his place in the Portuguese World Cup squad.

So far Andre Silva has not complained about his lack of playing time and AC Milan have reassured his agent Jorge Mendes but the player has many suitors inside as well as outside of Italy with Napoli and Arsenal being the prime candidates to try to snap him up should he leave.

Silva wants to prove Montella wrong as well as his sceptics but at this point it the question needs to be asked that if Vincenzo Montella does not believe in Andre Silva, maybe it is best for both parties to part ways already this coming January and at least try to recover some of the transfer fee the Rossoneri paid out this past summer.
