Premier League giants Liverpool could explore the possibility of bringing Antoine Griezmann to the club but will hope that Barcelona sign Philippe Coutinho.

Barcelona are still planning lot for life after Neymar, who left the Nou Camp for a world-record fee of 222 million euros to Paris Saint-Germain. While the Catalans did sign Ousmane Dembele for a 105 million euros, but it is still felt by many at the club that Barcelona have a missing piece in their attacking jigsaw.

The club’s attempts to sign Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool were rejected multiple times by the Anfield based club, despite Barcelona’s repeated attempts at doing the same. And while the club is still after Coutinho, it is common knowledge that the Reds have to be braced for bids from Ernesto Valverde even in January.

While acquiring the signature of Coutinho would mean complications, it would mean that Barcelona would give up the chase of Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann.

It is said that if Coutinho does not sign in January, he won’t sign for Barcelona at all. And Liverpool are aware of interest and have been rejecting talks since last summer. But they are vary of the financial power of Barcelona and will look to replace him with a quality forward.

Because of that, Jurgen Klopp’s men can stumble upon looking to sign Griezmann, who could well have joined Manchester United if not for Los Rojiblancos’ transfer ban.
