Why Roberto Pereyra may just end up staying at Juventus after all
Despite doing well for himself in his first season as a Juventus player, the former Udinese playmaker has since failed to get much playing time at the J Stadium, with injuries severely restricting El Tucumano in 2015-2016.
Ironically, a midfield injury crisis may well end up making him a key contributor to Juventus’ midfield. Were Paul Pogba to leave and with Claudio Marchisio out until October, it’s not like the Bianconeri can count on many options in the middle. With Sami Khedira still hobbled as well, Pereyra could well end up partnering Miralem Pjanic in the middle of the park, or at least playing in front of him.
