Juve: keen on Widmer. Napoli: Higuain to Liverpool?

As reported earlier today, the future of Juventus 30-year-old right back Stephan Lichtsteiner remains uncertain: to replace the former Lazio player, the bianconeri are thinking about another Swiss, Udinese 21-year-old Silvan Widmer, who is becoming one of the key players of Andrea Stramaccioni’s team; interviewed by calciomercato.com, the Friuli’s club Sports Director Cristiano Giaretta has declared that their will is to keep the player, but that if this latter will continue to do so well it will be extremely difficult to avoid his departure at the end of the season; another option for the Serie A defending champions’ flank remains 27-year-old Ignazio Abate, whose contract with AC Milan will expire in June 2015. Different situation for what concerns 26-year-old center back Angelo Ogbonna: the former Torino player seemed intended to leave Juve during the last transfer window, but the Piedmont’s team’s new coach Massimiliano Allegri has totally recovered the player.
As already explained, the position of Napoli coach Rafa Benitez has become uncertain, but the azzurri’s president Aurelio de Laurentiis has confirmed the Spaniard: according to La Repubblica, the club has decided to wait the next three games before making a decision about the former Liverpool manager. Napoli will also have to be attentive to the situation of their forward Gonzalo Higuain, to obtain whom Liverpool –as reported by the Daily Express- are ready to offer 40 million euros.
