Will Man Utd beat Juventus to signing of €30m Psg defender?

Paris Saint-Germain right-back Thomas Meunier is one of Juventus’ prime January transfer targets. The Belgian has made little secret of the fact he is unhappy at a lack of game time under Unai Emery, especially since the arrival of Dani Alves.

He is ready to leave the Ligue 1 giants as soon as possible, given that there has been no indication of his situation improving in this regard. Encouragingly for him, Bianconeri CEO Beppe Marotta is willing to offer him an escape route via a loan deal with an option or obligation to buy.

However, a stumbling block could be the fact PSG are said to be asking for €30 million, while José Mourinho has also set his sights on the former Club Brugge man. Reports suggest Manchester United currently lead the chase to secure his signature this winter as the Red Devils would be open to sign the player on a permanent deal whilst Juve are not planning any huge investment in the winter transfer window.
