Zamparini in talks to sell Palermo to English consortium

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini is in talks to sell the club to an English consortium, reports in Italy claim.

According to Rai Sport, Zamparini and the English found could finalize the deal this week so that the Serie B club can get a fresh cash injection for the January transfer window.

The British found is ready to acquire the 100% stake in the club but has reportedly ensured Zamparini that he will remain in charge as a councillor to manage the sporting side of the club, including transfers.

The new consortium is interested in building a new stadium as well as new hotels and restaurants.
