Zaza to West Ham LIVE: Striker undergoes medical
UPDATE 4.00 pm [CET+1]: Simone Zaza has just arrived in London. The player will now undergo medical with West Ham in the bext few hours ahead of signing a € 3.5 million-a-year deal with the Hammers.
The Hammers have reached an agreement with Juventus on a €25 million deal, plus €3 more in bonuses. The Policoro-born striker is set to earn €3.5m a season, and has agreed to a four-year deal.
The East Londoners should announce the deal as soon as this afternoon, something Coach Slaven Bilic confirmed in this morning's press conference.
"The Zaza situation looks very likely to happen and should happen today," he is quoted as saying by the BBC, "and as far as I know the deal is agreed between the clubs.
"The personal terms are also agreed and he is due in London today, so we hope it will be done.
"It's very positive and it's a boost. We've been trying for a long time now to get a top-quality striker and he was always mentioned."
