Exclusive: Juve pounce on Man Utd fullback as Dani Alves set for shock exit

Juventus are interested in signing Manchester United fullback Matteo Darmian, according to our transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano. The Italy International, a former Torino star, can either play on the left and on the right and had already been linked with a move to Juventus in the past.

Despite a bad start to the season, Darmian managed to make return in Man Utd’s starting XI becoming one of Mourinho’s favourite pick for the left flank.

The Special One, actually, is Juventus’ no.1 obstacle in their chase for Darmian. Mourinho, in fact, is not willing to sell the Italian.

The Old Lady has already made contact with the Red Devils and with the player’s entourage but if a final decision about the player depends on Mourinho, Darmian is not likely to join Juve in the summer.

Juventus are now in a hurry to sign a new right-back given that Dani Alves has asked to leave cancel his contract with the Serie a giants by mutual agreement. The Brazilian has already reached a verbal agreement with Manchester City but Chelsea are also interested.
