    Today is a crucial day for the future of AC Milan. First of all, president Silvio Berlusconi will undergo a heart surgery to replace a defective aortic valve. The surgery begun shortly after 9am (Italy time) in Milan’s San Raffaele hospital and is expected to take at least four hours.

    UPDATE: 12.23 CET+1: Berlusconi’s surgery is just finished and it seems that the rossoneri owner has had a successful operation. His heart beats in total autonomy and Berlusconi will now be hospitalized in Milan’s San Raffaele Hospital intensive care unit.


    In the meantime, Sal Galatioto will meet Fininvest chiefs in their headquarters to carry on negotiations to buy a majority share in the club. Berlusconi wants suitors to invest money to strengthen the team each season and has told Fininvest managers to add a penalty in the contract, to be paid if the Chinese consortium will fail to follow the president’s guidelines.
