AS Roma: Totti edging closer to exit door as Spalletti sends him home from training!
‘I barely speak to Luciano Spalletti anymore’, Francesco Totti told RAI yesterday.
As expected, the captain’s words that have left a mark not only inside the Giallorossi changing room, but have had an impact also on the club’s control room.
James Pallotta would have preferred not to expose the issue to the public and solve all kind of problems without talking to the press.
The AS Roma president had a private meeting with Totti some time ago, but negotiations for the captain’s contract extension have been put on hold as the 39-year-old can’t be considered part of the club’s future.
Also Luciano Spalletti is not happy with the player’s attitude and has already informed Pallotta about it. Captain and manager were not on good terms even before Totti’s latest outburst which is only making their relationship worse.
The AS Roma manager has sent Totti home from this morning's training and the player has not been called for Roma's game against Palermo this evening. Spalletti's decision have left all Roma players stunned and the legendary captain could not play anymore until the end of the season
