It looks like Arjen Robben will be staying at Bayern Munich, if what he’s said to the German media is anything to go by.
“It won’t be hard to agree to a new deal,” Robben told Sky Sports Germany (via BeIN), “my father is ready to negotiate, he loves taking coffee with Rummenigge”.
Robben netted 17 Bundesliga goals and added 7 assists two seasons ago and, after an injury-blighted campaign, has already come up with 4 goals, and 3 assists.
At age 32, Robben must surely be thinking about where to end his career, and the Bavarians sound like they’re delighted to have him.
Having scored in last night’s 3-1 win over Mainz on the road, the former Dutch international made it sound like extending his seven-year career at the Allianz Arena won’t be difficult at all.
“Maybe everything will be sorted out in a single chat”.
He’s won five Bundesliga titles and a Champions League trophy since joining in 2009.
