No controversy. Rafa Benitez agrees with president Moratti, who was disappointed with his team during the match against Tottenham: "I often speak with the president, there is a daily exchange. He's right, we haven't played well in London, we need to improve and react. We need more character. The market? I spoke with Branca and Moratti in August, we are working to improve the situation. I am satisfied with this first part of the season. Other clubs spent more than us and are behind us in the championship. If we win the next game, we will qualify for the next round in the Champions League. We are on the right track".

He then commented the performance of Bale and Lennon: "They are very fast, it's difficult to stop them. If you take a race between a Ferrari and a  Volvo, a Ferrari will win, even though a Volvo is a good car".

Then Benitez justified Maicon: "He did well last year and everybody wants the best of him. He's working hard but he's got a knee problem".

A final comment on the demonstration of affection for José Mourinho by many Nerazzurri players: "Every time we win a game I receive messages from the Liverpool players. It's normal. I don't think there's much to say."
