Cesc Fabregas linked with shock Arsenal return

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has been linked with leaving the Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window and according to the Sun, Arsene Wenger is considering taking the Spaniard back to North London. Fabregas starred for Antonio Conte’s Chelsea against Manchester City in the week-end providing Diego Costa with the assist for the equalizer scored by the powerful striker in the second half of the Etihad Stadium clash.

Despite the week-end’s game, Fabregas has been struggling with game time so far this season with Antonio Conte who has usually picked the likes of Ngolo Kante and Nemanja Matic to play in place of the former Barcelona star.

With Santi Cazorla who has been ruled out for three months, Wenger is considering signing some midfield reinforcement in the January transfer window and according to the British tabloid, Fabregas tops the French manager’s shopping list.

Fabregas, 29, swapped the Gunners with Barcelona in summer 2011 before moving to Chelsea three years later leaving most of Arsenal fans disappointed having picked one of their most hatred rivals as his new club.

AC Milan had also been linked with signing Fabregas next month, but the club’s delayed takeover won’t allow the Serie A giants to invest lot of money in big names in January.
